Has anyone else noticed how the energy shifts in spring? I've been thinking a lot about this lately—how our bodies respond to transitions, whether it's the weather warming up or bigger life changes we're navigating.

Truth is, I've been doing some major reflection on my practice lately. Building Point Prescription has been this incredible journey, but I'm realizing I've created something that works wonderfully for everyone except... me. Classic, right?

I started with this vision of accessible acupuncture that serves our communities in Denver and Boulder, but somewhere along the way, I fell into the trap of trying to fit into a healthcare system that honestly doesn't support the kind of unhurried, connection-based care that traditional Chinese medicine demands.

Setting boundaries that align with my values has been trickier than I expected. I'm learning (sometimes painfully) to make decisions from a centered place rather than reacting to external pressures or what others think I "should" do. This is relatively new territory for me—I tend to adapt quickly to what others need, sometimes at my own expense.

But here's what I'm discovering: when I honor what truly matters—genuine connection, personalized care, and creating space for real healing—everything else begins to fall into place more naturally. My energy returns. I remember why I chose this path.

Spring's Invitation to Reset

In Chinese medicine, spring is liver and gallbladder season—these systems govern the smooth flow of energy, detoxification, and emotional balance. When we support these systems during seasonal transitions, our bodies can:

- Release the stagnation we've accumulated during winter

- Address those annoying seasonal allergies (anyone else feeling them already?)

- Give our immune systems extra support as everything around us changes

- Balance emotions that might feel all over the place during transition periods

- Improve sleep as our bodies adjust to changing light patterns

I've witnessed some pretty profound shifts in patients during life transitions. There's something powerful about creating a quiet, supportive space where your nervous system can finally settle and your body can find its way back to balance—especially when everything else feels chaotic.

Growing Through Change

Spring is bringing fresh energy to Point Prescription too. Our team is evolving to better serve our community in both Denver and Boulder. This growth allows us to expand our availability while staying true to what matters most—personalized, connection-forward care.

Each practitioner who joins us shares our fundamental belief that healing happens best through relationship—through genuine connection rather than rushing through appointments.

Supporting Your Transition

As Point Prescription continues to evolve, my commitment remains the same: helping you feel more at home in your body and reconnect with the parts of yourself that stress or disconnection may have buried.

Quick reminder: we provide superbills for all treatments that you can submit to insurance for potential reimbursement.

If you're feeling the effects of seasonal transition—whether that's allergies, headaches, sleep disruption, digestive sensitivity, or emotional fluctuations—acupuncture can help bring your system into better balance.

Thanks for being part of this community as we navigate these seasons of change together. I'm grateful for your trust and looking forward to growing alongside you this spring.
